Training & Certification Course (TCC)

This course will provide participants with in-depth training in the revised version of the Echo parenting curriculum, which reflects an attachment-based, nonviolent approach to child-raising that is rooted in an understanding of trauma. At the end of the 6-day course, successful participants will be certified as an Echo parent educator.

Requirements:
Attendance at a 10-class parenting series or Weekend Intensive within the last 12-months is a pre-requisite for TCC.


Course Content:
Participants will study the principles and practice of trauma-informed nonviolent child-raising, as well as the research that informs it. In an alive, creative and dynamic learning environment, participants will be immersed in the philosophical underpinnings and pedagogical framework for teaching parent education in multiple settings.

Participants will have the opportunity of shadowing the 10-class parenting series led by senior Echo parent educators, and attending the facilitator debrief after each class.

Acceptance into TCC is based on a completed application plus an in-person interview with Echo staff.
