Community Day
Community Days are an extension of the Parenting Class series and are held at the end of each series. This is a crucial time to stay connected to the principles of nonviolence in parenting and to create a community of support.
A Community Day is a gathering where parents, youth, professionals, and community members gain support and encouragement in the journey of nonviolence in child raising and connect with the wider vision of nonviolent Philosophy and Practice. This includes discussions and presentations of different strategies and ways of coping with the challenges of caring for children.
Childcare is provided for free during class hours. Our caretakers are an integral part of our program, trained in nonviolence in raising children, and they offer support to both parents and children.
Community Days are conducted in English and Spanish with simultaneous translation.
Class Fee:
Class fee based on a sliding scale $10 – $30 (individual), $15 – $45 (couple) per class.
