Working with Childhood Trauma

Echo provides a variety of one-day trainings on childhood trauma calibrated to different levels of knowledge and roles for professionals working with children and families.

Working with Childhood Trauma (WCT) – Provides a basic overview of childhood trauma and how to become trauma-informed, including skill-building around how to provide healing within relationship.
Working with Childhood Trauma II – The second part of WCT provides a more in-depth look at the cutting-edge science surrounding childhood trauma, plus offers additional skills to help professionals develop a trauma-informed practice. We recommend that participants take WCT before taking Part II, or have a basic understanding of childhood trauma, including the impact of trauma on the brain and body, the ACE Study, trauma responses, and regulation techniques.
